Northend United 2 Shankill Juniors 2 Saturday 26th October 2013
Northend U14s reserved their best performance of the season for Saturday when they drew with Shankill Juniors and with a bit more luck could have taken all the points.
However in a even first half, the Blues found themselves a goal down midway through the half. Half time score 1-0
Into the second half and a rejuvenated Northend team pulled a goal back from James O'Loughlin, after ten minutes of the half. However Northend took their foot off the pedal and allowed Shankill to take the lead in the match after twenty-five minutes off this half.
The Blues came storming back and in a frantic last ten minutes of the match, Graeme Macartney scored to pull Northend level at 2-2 in the match and a missed chance right at the end robbed the Blues of all three points. Full time score 2-2

Oxford Sunnyside 4 Northend United 1 Saturday 19th October 2013
Northend started this game taking the game to Sunnyside and it was no surprise when they took the lead. Aaron Campbell delivered a good throughball to Graeme Macartney on the edge of the Sunnyside box and he drilled the ball past the keeper, with seven minutes of the game gone.
However, a defensive mistake by a Northend player allowed Sunnyside to level the scores five minutes later, when their striker picked up on a lose ball and drilled the ball past Josh Mark in the Blues nets.
Sunnyside , now with their heads up, began to take the game to Northend but found Josh Mark in top form to deny their strikers on two occasions.
However Sunnyside ran in two goals just before half time in a carbon copy of each other when a ball over the top of the Northend defence allowed the Sunnyside striker to run on and slip the ball into the Northend net. Half time score 3-1
Into the second half and Northend began to take the game to Sunnyside with Alex O'Boyle beginning to stamp his authority in midfield. Northend should have pulled a goal back from an inswinging corner but the Ballymena boys were too slow to react and allowed Sunnyside to clear the ball.
Sunnyside had the final say in the game when they scored a fourth goal 3 minutes before the end of the game. Final Score 4-1

Shankill Juniors 5 Northend United 2 Saturday 5th October 2013
Northend turned in one of their better displays of the season, running Shankill Juniors close with a 3-2 scoreline until minutes before the end of this game.
Northend started this match with a hunger not evident in recent matches and Daniel Bell gave them the lead after four minutes when he latched onto a poor defensive pass and ran on to slide the ball past the Shankill keeper.
Shankill equalised shortly afterwards, when a defensive lapse let their striker in to beat Josh Mark in the Northend net. Shankill began to take control of the game and ran in two more goals before half time, the second of which was a high shot which ended up beating keeper Mark, when on another day could have ended up going well over the crossbar. Half time score 3-1
Into the second half, and Northend began to take control of the midfield with Campbell and Stevenson pulling the strings for the Blues. Josh Mark was in dominant form in the Blues goals but it was that man, Daniel Bell, who pulled a goal back from the Blues shortly after half time, to leave the score 3-2
The Ballymena Boys had a great spell in the match but couldn't find the all important third goal to pull themselves level.
They were made to pay for not taking their chances when on top in the game, when Shankill ran in two late goals to leave a rather flattering 5-2 scoreline.

Lisburn Distillery 6 Northend United 0
With Northend U14s going through a transition phase at the moment following their move to the Lisburn League they came up against a very strong and experienced Lisburn Distillery side in no mood to give away any favours. After a disappointing first half Northend rallied in the second half and showed some of their fighting spirit with Daniel Bell and Lorcan McLean putting in some hard work.
The team learned much from this match and ss the season progresses the U14s will improve and confidence will grow.

Hillsborough Boys 3 Northend United 0 Saturday 7th september 2013
Playing against a very strong Hillsborough side, Northend found themselves under severe pressure in the opening minutes. Josh Mark in the Northend golas had to be smart on a couple of occasions as he saw his team pinned in their own half for the first fifteen minutes. Gradually Northend came into the game and Daniel bell forced the Hillsborough keeper into a fine save on the half-hour mark.
Just on half-time, Northend conceded a silly goal when a mix-up in defence allowed the ball to be deflected into the net off one of Northend's defenders. Half time score 1-0
Hillsborough came out fighting in the second half and in the forty-fifth minute, an inswinging cross was again deflected into the net off a Northend defender. The Blues then took the game to Hillsborough and for the next twenty minutes, they kept the home side under wraps and were unlucky to see a snapshot from Jamie Stevenson come back off the crossbar, following a Jordan Adams corner. Hillsborough completed the scoring in the last two minutes of the match when their striker fired an unstoppable shot past keeper Josh Mark. Final score 3-0
